When the Memories store in the Park Meadows area of Denver, Colorado closed in February 2007, area scrappers were left
without a local scrapbook store. Mary Kay Seckinger and her husband, Jon Loshbaugh, launched Scrapbook Destination to
provide a "home" for those customers, and to realize Mary Kay's dream of becoming a local scrapbook store owner.
Mary Kay worked and taught at Memories in Park Meadows, and Jon has a background in business that combines well with Mary
Kay's industry knowledge & experience.
Many of Memories' employees came with Mary Kay to Scrapbook
Destination; the staff has a wealth of skill and talent, as well as a genuine desire to share their enthusiasm with others.
They delight in providing personalized customer service that sets their store apart.
Mary Kay has also put
together an outstanding Design Team of local scrappers who create samples for the store and share their expertise at periodic
"Page Clinics."
Vivian Masket is a 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Famer; she's
been scrapbooking for several years now and has developed a distinct style, favoring clean lines and bright colors. Vivian
always puts her photos center stage. In addition to having her pages in various issues of Creating Keepsakes, Vivian
has been published in Scrapbook Trends and has done assignment work for Better Homes & Gardens' Scrapbooks Etc.
Heather Harrell, mom of 3, Jazzercise instructor, and avid scrapper, has a flair for kits & sketches.
She's been published in Becky Higgins' second Sketchbook, and had another layout based on a Becky Higgins sketch in
the August Creating Keepsakes. We like to challenge Heather with kits made up of all manner of product; Heather never disappoints,
always constructing a fabulous layout, on the spot, with whatever we throw at her!
Emily Pitts
started scrapbooking in earnest just a year or two ago, and feels she has really "found her style." Emily's
simple, clean pages with outstanding journaling (and her amazing handwriting!) have found their way into several issues of
Simple Scrapbooks, as well as the special issue, "Scrapbook Play." She is also on the design team of October
Afternoon, a new manufacturer of stamps and paper and has done assignment work for Simple Scrapbooks.
Rachel
Carlson has an eclectic, arty style that always inspires. Rachel serves on ThermoWeb's design team, often
doing Make n Takes for them at tradeshows, and has had a page published in Memory Makers' Books' "Imperfect
Lives" idea book, as well as several others. Rachel frequently hosts our "Crop the Night Away," and her energy
and enthusiasm make every crop a blast.
Christyn Holmes has been in scrapbook
retailing longer than any of us, from nearly the very beginning. She worked in a store in Alaska for many years, and now works
at Scrapbook Destination as a sales associate, a teacher, AND a designer. Christyn has mastered a wide range of styles
and techniques, though her main obsession is circles! Many of the samples you see in the store are Christyn's
work; we like to say that if we leave her alone for very long with nothing to do, we get a page or two (or ten!) out of it.

it, so be prepared!
